Hate high energy bills? Save this date! If your house, co-op or condo is a gas, oil or electricity guzzler, there is good news about rebates and other incentives to make residential buildings more energy efficient. To learn about them, please come to a free workshop on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 1:30 p.m., at The Church in the Gardens Community House, 15 Borage Place, one block east of Ascan Avenue between Burns Street and Greenway North, in Forest Hills. Our speaker, recommended by Sierra Club NYC, will be Wendy Fleischer, sustainability project manager for the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) "Energy Smart Communities" program. If you have any questions, please call Liz and Tom Mooney at 718-261-6385.
